Active You Fitness Wear Story
Active You Inc. is based out of Freehold, New Jersey. The owner Sharon A. Sears O'Brien
has been in the industry (active/fitness wear) over 18 years. The manufacturing of all the lines we sell are in California, Florida and Pennsylvania.
Sharon had been in the athletic club/gym industry for 3 years, and was getting over worked and under paid. Then she decided to open a store locally where she lived. In December of 1987, Active You opened it's doors in Middletown, Rhode Island. Every year the store grew in size and volume, and a few years later active you started selling wholesale also.
In 1997, the store was very slow, so we moved to a warehouse location. Especially since the wholesale business was growing. In December, 1999, Sharon and active you relocated to New Jersey with her husband. Planning on starting a family, Sharon started working out of the house. In December 2000, Chad was born. In November 2003, we relocated again, to Freehold, New Jersey.
In 2005, Active You, Inc. became a major sponsor for the Sara City's workout conventions (now the SCW Fitness Education Conventions). Also we started working with Fit TV personality Cathe Friedrich, by providing her and her crew with all their outfits for her newest DVD's/Video's, (10). Presently we are working with 2 other instructors on outfitting them for their newest DVD’s/video's. There will be special links her on my website for you.
